The navtec GmbH has developed a quintuple
DSP board for PCs with ISA/EISA bus. The main application for this plug-in
is fast signal processing. It can also be used as a co-processors for PCs.
There is an optical AES/EBU interface included on the board as well. That
makes the Quint56 board predestined to be used for problem solutions in
audio signal processing with calculating time-intensive algorithms.

The board was designed as a long plug-in
card. The serial interface signals of the first DSP are led out of the
PC alongside its mounting edge. That is also where the optical in- and
outputs are.
As this board is often used in research and training, all processors are equipped with sockets. This makes it easy to exchange DSPs in the SMD housing (PQFP). |
